Another conversation with the boy...
While driving to school this morning. (The car temperature thingy says 47 degrees. Blessed are we.)
The boy: "Can I roll my window down?"
Me: "I guess so. Why? It's chilly."
The boy: "OH NO IT'S NOT!! It's hot over here on my side of the car with you blaring the heater and that ding dang sun coming in!! It's not shining on you like it's shining on me!"
Me: "Wow. Do you kiss your momma with those lips?"
The boy: "Yep. I do..."
(pause)
"... and she likes it."
O. My. Word.
Yes.
She does.
